About the Role

I’m currently working on an exciting opportunity with one of my clients — a fast-growing, people-focused firm with a fantastic reputation in the private client space. They’re looking for a talented Private Client Tax Manager to join their team, based in either their London or Reading office, with the flexibility to work remotely.

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys a mix of compliance and advisory work, values client relationships, and is looking for genuine career progression in a supportive, ambitious team. You’ll work with a diverse and interesting portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and trusts and be part of a team that prides itself on delivering personable, proactive advice.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals and trusts
• Providing expert tax advice across income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax
• Identifying opportunities to add value and strengthen relationships
• Leading on advisory projects, often alongside partners or senior managers
• Supporting and reviewing work completed by junior team members, helping them grow and develop
• Contributing to the wider growth and development of the private client tax team

The ideal candidate is someone who combines technical excellence with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

• ATT qualification, with experience managing a portfolio in a Private Client/Personal Tax role
• CTA qualification (or working towards it)
• Strong technical understanding of UK personal tax, particularly for HNWIs and trusts
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A confident, client-focused approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management and organisational skills
