Clark Wood in Watford is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join its Private Client team. You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, trusts and owner-managed businesses, providing advisory and compliance support in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' post-qualified experience within private client tax.
• Strong personal tax compliance experience with exposure to advisory work.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Up-to-date technical tax knowledge.
• Experience using Digita would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal, partnership and trust tax clients.
• Reviewing tax returns and technical work prepared by junior team members.
• Identifying and delivering tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Collaborating with Partners and colleagues on advisory projects.
• Coaching and supporting junior members of the tax team.
