Crowe Watson Recruitment is assisting Exeter-based chartered accountants in recruiting a Private Client Tax Manager. The role offers full ownership of a varied private client portfolio, including HNW individuals, trusts and estates, with advisory work alongside compliance.

The successful candidate will have CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualification with at least five years in a UK practice, able to lead client relationships and mentor junior staff in a fast-growing firm.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with strong private client tax background.
• Minimum five years' experience in a UK practice environment.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients.

Responsabilités

• Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates.
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
• Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process.
• Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships.
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team.
• Liaising with HMRC on client matters including enquiries and investigations.

£54,000 to £64,000 per annum (DOE) Permanent, full time

Exeter

Full ownership of a varied private client portfolio, in one of the South West's fastest growing cities. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Exeter is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager.

The portfolio spans high net worth individuals, trusts and estates across a broad range of complexity, with advisory work alongside compliance. The firm has a strong regional reputation for its private client work, a collegiate culture, and a clear pathway to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the Exeter private client space well.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process
• Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team
• Liaising with HMRC on client matters including enquiries and investigations

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of HNW private clients
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident client facing manner, organised and able to manage competing deadlines
