Job summary

Howell-Jones Llp based in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a tax-focused accountant to join its award-winning Private Client team. In this role, you will work closely with lawyers on wills, probate, and trust matters, focusing on tax compliance and estate administration.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal tax compliance, strong organizational skills, and be confident liaising with HMRC. Qualifications such as ATT or CTA/STEP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal tax compliance is essential.
• Comfortable dealing with HMRC is necessary.
• Experience with estate accounts or trust work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns.
• Preparing trust and estate tax returns, including R185s and IHT100s.
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.
• Assisting with inheritance tax reporting and calculations.
