Job summary

Cooper Parry is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join our growing Private Client team in the UK. You will build secure relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and trusts, providing expert UK tax guidance across income tax, CGT and IHT.

You'll work with partners and senior managers, mentor juniors, and help shape our advisory offering. If you’re technically strong, collaborative and thrive on responsibility, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• ATT qualified with experience managing a private client portfolio
• Ideally CTA qualified
• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws for high-net-worth individuals and trusts
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Able to work independently and lead juniors
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth clients and trusts
• Provide advisory UK tax guidance on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Spot opportunities to deepen client relationships
• Mentor juniors and collaborate with partners/senior managers
• Provide multi-jurisdictional tax advice as needed
• Support growth of the Private Client business

We are looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to come and join us. You will…

• Build secure and trusted relationships with your portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and trusts
• Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of issues, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Spot opportunities to help our clients further and deepen your relationships
• Provide advisory work to our high net worth individual and trust clients, working with a partner/senior manager
• Be comfortable providing multi-jurisdictional tax advice
• Review work, manage and mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support as needed

You will be…

• ATT qualified with experience working in a Private Client/Personal Tax focused role managing a portfolio of private clients
• Ideally CTA qualified
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with experience in advising high-net-worth individuals and trusts
• A great communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational and time management skills
