Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a qualified Private Client Solicitor to join a Legal 500-recognised Wills, Trusts & Probate team in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The role involves managing a varied private client caseload, delivering high-quality advice and client care, and contributing to the department’s growth.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, supportive environment with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with experience handling wills, probate, trusts and estate administration.
• Excellent client care and communication; ability to build long-term relationships.
• STEP qualification or progress towards STEP advantageous, though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied private client caseload including drafting wills and estate planning.
• Handle probate and estate administration and trust creation/management.
• Provide advice on lasting powers of attorney and inheritance tax planning.
• Advise high-net-worth individuals and families while maintaining practical, tailored guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the department and contribute to business development.
