Job summary

Reed is seeking a Private Client Solicitor for a temporary contract in the Westbury-on-Trym area. The role focuses on Wills, Trusts, estate planning and Court of Protection work, with a target to maintain high client service and accurate file management. PQE of 3+ years is required.

You will conduct consultations, draft wills, advise on tax planning, manage deputyships and oversee related probate matters, while contributing to team development and meeting monthly fee targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in wills, trusts, estate planning and court of protection.
• Experience managing a personal workload and meeting deadlines.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Proficient in using DPS for documentation and correspondence.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations and client triage.
• Prepare wills and advise on trusts, capacity and Inheritance Tax.
• Handle lasting powers of attorney applications and registrations.
• Liaise with clients on probate matters and deputyships.
• Manage cases and maintain updated files per firm policies.
• Support business development to generate workflows.
• Review WIP and client financing for matters.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions.
