Job summary

Factory 8 Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced Wills & Probate specialist to join its Private Client team in London/Greater London. The role focuses on managing client instructions, drafting Wills (including trusts), and handling probate and estate administration with a growing practice.

We welcome candidates with 2–4 years PQE, paralegal background, or CILEX qualification, who are keen to develop and take on increasing responsibility in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ PQE preferred; strong paralegal experience considered.
• CILEX qualification or STEP Diploma encouraged.
• Experience in Wills, probate and estate administration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload and liaise with beneficiaries, HMRC and professional referrers.
• Draft Wills, including those incorporating trusts.
• Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Probate and estate administration.
• Prepare IHT400 inheritance tax accounts.
• Understand inheritance tax rules and calculations.
• Trust administration experience is advantageous.

I’m working with a growing Private Client team that is looking to add a talented Wills & Probate professional to its expanding division.

The ideal candidate

We’re ideally looking for someone with 2–4 years’ PQE, although we’re also happy to consider candidates who have strong paralegal experience before qualifying or who are CILEX qualified.

You’ll ideally have experience in

• Managing your own caseload, taking client instructions and liaising with beneficiaries, HMRC and professional referrers
• Drafting Wills, including those incorporating trusts
• Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Preparing and submitting IHT400 inheritance tax accounts
• Understanding inheritance tax rules and completing inheritance tax calculations
• Trust administration would be advantageous, although not essential
• Holding, or being willing to work towards, the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates
