Job summary

QED Legal LLP in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of wills, probate, trusts and estate planning for high-net-worth clients.

You will handle instruction through to completion, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to the growth of the Private Client team in a modern, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law is required.
• Strong experience across Wills, Probate and Estate Planning.
• Good knowledge of Inheritance Tax and Trusts.
• Experience managing your own caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own varied caseload of private client matters from instruction to completion.
• Provide expert advice to individuals, families and high-net-worth clients.
• Handle Wills and Will drafting, Estate planning, Probate and estate administration, Trusts and trust administration, IHT planning, Court of Protection matters and general private client planning.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Private Client department and contribute to team growth.

Role:

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, providing expert legal advice to individuals, families and high-net-worth clients.

Your caseload will include:

• Wills and Will drafting
• Estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts and trust administration
• Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning
• Court of Protection matters
• General private client and succession planning

You will be responsible for managing matters from instruction through to completion, providing high-quality legal advice and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

The role will also provide the opportunity to support and mentor junior members of the Private Client department and contribute to the continued development and growth of the team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Private Client law
