Job summary

Legal News Wales in Abergavenny is seeking a Private Client Solicitor with approximately two to three years' PQE to join an established regional team. You will manage a varied Private Client caseload and draft Wills, handle probate and estate administration, and advise executors and beneficiaries.

The role offers flexible working arrangements and exposure to wills, probate, trusts, and tax planning, with supervision from senior lawyers and opportunities to build long-term client relationships

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–3 years' PQE in private client work.
• Solid foundation in Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Experience with diverse private client matters and client advisory.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Private Client caseload.
• Draft straightforward and complex Wills.
• Handle Probate and estate administration matters.
• Prepare Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
• Advise executors, administrators and beneficiaries.
• Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Advise on inheritance tax and reliefs.
• Assist with Trust creation and administration.
• Support Court of Protection and deputyship work.
• Liaise with accountants and financial advisers.
• Develop relationships with clients and referrers.
• Participate in networking and business development.
