Job summary

Nelson Bridges in Ripon is assisting a respected law firm to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor / FILEX to join a well-established team. You’ll manage wills, probate, trusts and Court of Protection matters while supervising juniors, building client relationships and contributing to growth.

You will handle high-value estates, Inheritance Tax planning and succession matters, with a focus on quality work and long-term progression in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for a qualified Solicitor or FILEX with significant Private Client experience and strong technical knowledge.
• Confident managing complex Private Client matters.
• Experienced in supervising or mentoring colleagues.
• Commercially aware and client-focused.
• Proactive, approachable and able to work autonomously.
• Experienced within a high-street or general practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Private Client caseload including wills, probate and estate administration, high-value estates and Trusts.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; develop client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the department.

Nelson Bridges is delighted to be working on behalf of a highly regarded law firm in Ripon who are looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor / FILEX to join their established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client professional looking to join a supportive firm offering quality work, professional development and genuine long-term progression, including the potential to progress towards partnership.

The Role

You’ll manage a varied Private Client caseload, including:

• Wills and complex Will drafting
• Probate and estate administration
• High-value and taxable estates
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Trusts
• Court of Protection matters
• Succession and later-life planning

You’ll also have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior team members, develop client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

About You
