Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner

Location: Chelmsford
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner to join a well-established and modern law firm known for its exceptional service to both individuals and businesses. This firm takes pride in delivering high-quality legal solutions with a personal touch, and they are now looking for a new addition to their busy and expanding Private Client team.

If you’re a Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner with at least 2 years' PQE or equivalent experience, this is your chance to take on a varied and rewarding role with real autonomy, client contact, and progression potential. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, receiving excellent support and exposure while playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing the firm's strong reputation.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner:

• Handling a broad caseload including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trusts
• Advising clients with compassion, clarity, and professionalism on a wide range of Private Client matters
• Assisting with Court of Protection work
• Building long-lasting relationships with clients and professional referrers
• Helping grow the Private Client department through business development and strong service delivery
• Working with your team to meet targets and maintain exceptional standards

Who We’re Looking For in a Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner:

• A minimum of 2 years' PQE or proven equivalent experience within Private Client law
• Highly organised and capable of handling a busy caseload independently
• A clear and confident communicator who puts clients at the heart of their work
• IT literate and comfortable using MS Office and legal software
• A team player with a proactive and positive approach to work
• Someone who is eager to continue their professional development within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment
