Job summary

SAS Daniels LLP is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor for their Chester team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, including wills, probate, and estate administration, while enjoying autonomy and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Private client solicitor (Chester) - 5+ years PQE

This is a great opportunity for an experienced private client solicitor who is ready to take the next step in their career and play an important role in the continued growth of our Chester private client team. You will manage your own varied caseload, including wills, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection matters, and a wide range of private client work.

As part of a developing team, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy while still having access to support and guidance. This role offers the chance to build strong, long‑term client relationships, broaden your expertise, and contribute directly to shaping the future direction of the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a broad caseload of private client matters.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through excellent communication and service.
• Generate fee income and maintain effective control of time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department and senior management to support the team’s long‑term development and growth.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when needed.
• Offer informed and compassionate guidance to clients navigating complex and often sensitive legal matters.
• Engaging in business development (BD) activities, including building your network, developing new client relationships, and attending BD events.

About you:

• A private client solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
• Exceptional client care and communication skills.
• Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, and estate planning.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused, and committed to delivering an outstanding client experience.
