A highly-respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join their Wills and Estate Planning team based in Huntingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client solicitor looking to progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role:
You will be working as part of a busy and dynamic team, handling a varied and often complex caseload that includes:

  • Estate administration
  • Wills and succession planning
  • Powers of attorney
  • Trusts and trustee duties
  • Legal matters relating to elderly clients
This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys technical detail, thrives on building strong client relationships, and is seeking long-term career progression.

Key Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
  • 3+ PQE
  • Strong experience in Wills, trusts, and estate planning
  • Excellent drafting skills, particularly in complex Will structures
  • A good understanding of estate and succession planning
  • Familiarity with trustee powers and duties, including trust establishment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • Excellent communication, client care, and interpersonal skills
  • Sound research and IT literacy, including use of online resources and MS Office

The Ideal Candidate:
You’ll be a self-starter with a strong grounding in private client law. You’ll have the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism, while also displaying commercial awareness and ambition. Experience in developing client relationships and supporting team growth is a distinct advantage.
