At redacted, our clients Tier 2 ranked Private Client team is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated and personable solicitor to join our expert practice. You’ll be part of a Legal 500-recognised team that prides itself on delivering bespoke, compassionate legal advice to clients across Sussex and beyond.
As a Private Client Solicitor, you’ll play a vital role in advising individuals and families on a wide range of personal legal matters. You will work closely with clients to help them plan and protect their wealth, guide them through emotionally sensitive issues, and deliver practical, tailored solutions in a calm and professional manner.
Your work will include:
Drafting Wills and managing estate planning
Administering estates and dealing with probate
Advising on and creating trusts and tax-efficient structures
Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
Supporting vulnerable clients with Court of Protection applications
Advising on inheritance tax planning and succession strategies
Handling contentious probate and trust matters where required
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, with the opportunity to build long-term client relationships and grow your own caseload in a values-driven environment.
A qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years PQE in private client law (STEP or SFE qualifications a strong advantage)
A strong working knowledge of Wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, LPAs, and tax planning
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with clients compassionately and effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied and busy caseload independently
A genuine interest in building trusted, long-term client relationships
A collaborative team player with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach
