Private Client Solicitor/Fee Earner – 5+ Years PQE
Locations: Derby
Team: Wills & Probate

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established and forward-thinking legal practice. This role offers the flexibility to be based inthe Derbyoffice, with occasional travel to other sites to meet client and community needs.

We are looking for a committed and confident legal professional with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience who is passionate about private client work and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, Inheritance Tax planning, Trusts and Later Life Planning
• Provide clear and empathetic advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances
• Support and mentor junior team members and trainees, contributing to their ongoing development
• Work with minimal supervision, using initiative to maintain high standards of client care and efficiency
• Engage in networking, business development, and marketing initiatives to support the team’s growth and visibility

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A recognised legal qualification (Solicitor or CILEx)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong technical knowledge across all areas of private client law
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to outstanding client service
• Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities in a busy environment
• A commercial mindset and an understanding of working to business targets
• A proactive approach to professional networking and promoting legal services
• Membership of STEP or The Association of Lifetime Lawyers (desirable, but not essential)
