Qualifications

• Must hold a valid qualification and have over 8 years post-qualification experience.

• Ability to lead junior lawyers and manage a high-quality caseload.

Oculus is proud to be partnering with a prestigious Legal 500 firm in Cheltenham, currently seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor (8+ PQE) to join as Head of Department.

This is a standout opportunity to lead a high-performing, well-established team within a forward-thinking firm, without the need for a following.

The Role:

As Head of Department, you will:

• Manage a high-quality caseload of Wills, Trusts, and Probate matters
• Advise clients on estate planning, tax efficiency, and asset protection strategies
• Draft Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Oversee estate administration and complex probate work
• Lead and support junior lawyers, driving development and departmental growth
• Play a key role in strategic planning and client relationship management
