Job summary

Oculus are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join their Manchester team. You will advise HNW/UHNW clients on estate and wealth planning, wills, trusts, and lifetime arrangements, with a strong emphasis on bespoke client service.

The role offers hybrid working (2 days in Manchester, 3 days from home) and a salary in the £65,000–£75,000 range plus bonus, within a supportive culture and clear long‑term career path.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on estate planning, wills, trusts, and lifetime planning arrangements.
• Advising on inheritance tax planning and capital gains implications.
• Experience with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly personalised Private Client advice to HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
• Draft complex wills, trusts, and related succession planning documents.
• Advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney and lifetime planning strategies.

Oculus are currently retained on an exclusive mandate with a highly regarded Top 20 national law firm to recruit a talented Private Client Solicitor to join its team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to advise a sophisticated HNW and UHNW client base while benefiting from a supportive culture and genuine long-term career development.

The Opportunity:

You'll provide highly personalised advice to HNW and UHNW individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners, trustees and family offices, with exposure to a broad range of sophisticated Private Client matters, including:

• Advising on estate planning, succession planning and wealth preservation
• Drafting and advising on complex wills, including trusts and business assets
• Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and other lifetime planning arrangements
• Administering taxable and non-taxable estates, including complex and high-value matters
• Advising on inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax implications and lifetime gifting strategies

Salary:

£65,000–£75,000 + bonus

Hybrid Working:

2 days in the Manchester office, 3 days from home
