Job description

Job title: Private Client Senior Solicitor

Location: Canterbury

Salary: £55,000-£65,000

PQE Level: 5+ PQE

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full-time

We are seeking a well-rounded Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our clients' renowned and down-to-earth Private Client team. You will join a highly respected and established department specialising in wills and estate planning, managing a diverse caseload of private client matters. These will include:

  1. Preparation of wills
  2. Drafting documents, deeds, and letters
  3. Providing estate and tax (mainly inheritance tax) planning advice
  4. Advising in the administration of estates for lay executors as well as where the firm is appointed as professional executor
  5. Offering advice on the use of trusts
  6. Preparing and registering powers of attorney
  7. Advising on general private client matters, excluding conveyancing work

To be successful in this role, you should have a good level of experience in the areas of private client law mentioned above, be able to relate to clients of all levels, and demonstrate excellent levels of client care. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision are also essential.

Although the firm is ideally looking for individuals around the 5+ PQE mark, they are open to considering more senior individuals looking for an opportunity to join a committed team.
