A leading Legal 500 firm with a stellar reputation, operating from offices in SW London and the City. Known for delivering City-level service with an approachable, collaborative culture focused on client care.

The firm is seeking a Salaried Partner for their Private Client team, as part of their succession planning, with a pathway to take over from the current Head of Department/ Equity Partner in the short term.

The Role

This is a strategic leadership role with long-term scope, supporting the HOD/Partner in managing the team and growing the department.

• Co-leading the department, driving team development and performance.
• Managing a team of 5, including senior Associates and Trainees.
• Handling a full caseload while building your own client base.
• Driving business development to grow the practice.
• Leading complex matters such as wills, trusts, estate administration, tax planning, succession, and wealth transfer.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
• Building relationships with clients and external institutions.
• Providing updates to Equity Partners.
• Promoting operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• UK qualified Solicitor with 9-14+ PQE, with strong BD and leadership experience.
• Experience in private client work: wills, probate, trusts, succession, tax, and wealth transfer.
• Understanding of financial remedies.
• Confident leader and mentor.
• Business development skills with a growth mindset.
• Collaborative and strategic thinker.
