Private Client Relationship Manager - HNW / UHNW

This is a new role for an experienced client relationship manager to join as No. 2, managing an expanding asset book of over £2bn. The ideal candidate will have broad experience working with HNW/UHNW clients and advising across multiple asset classes.

Salary: Up to £110,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

They are a global HNWI/UHNWI wealth management firm, overseeing assets exceeding £40bn, with a strong record of client service, protection, and advisory investment excellence across various asset classes. They seek a highly skilled and collaborative Private Client Relationship Manager to join their Central London team.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded global wealth management business. You will support the management of a sophisticated client book comprising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, providing oversight and advice on investments across different asset classes and strategies. As the number 2 in the team, overseeing approximately £2.4bn, you will work closely with the Director, other partners, and various divisions including investment analysts and the investment management team. Your role will involve client relationship management, investment strategy implementation, business development, and portfolio oversight. Over time, you will be expected to run your own client book.

Skills & Experience Required
  • RDR Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) and eligible to advise UK retail clients on securities, derivatives, and other asset classes. Preference for CISI Level 6 (PCIAM).
  • Degree educated; CFA Charterholder or CAIA qualification highly advantageous.
  • 6-12 years of demonstrable experience managing or assisting with a book of HNW/UHNW clients within wealth or investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, and investment research.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director and Partners in day-to-day client management, maintaining and strengthening relationships.
  • Oversee portfolio reviews, trade implementation, and periodic reporting.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to client queries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct portfolio modeling, implement investment strategies, and monitor post-trade activity.
  • Prepare for and contribute to client meetings, leading when required.
  • Undertake investment analysis and research, providing insights and recommendations across multiple asset types.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting to prospective clients and support new business initiatives.
  • Ensure robust KYC and compliance procedures are maintained.
  • Aspire to manage your own client book as you progress.
