Job summary

Law Staff Ltd represents a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked firm seeking a Private Client Partner to lead and expand its established team. This role blends high-quality client work with leadership, business development and strategic autonomy to shape the department's future.

As Partner & Head of Private Client, you will drive growth, manage your own high-value portfolio and contribute to the firm's strategic development while maintaining exceptional client service and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Proven experience handling high-value Private Client matters.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Track record of business development and building client relationships.
• Established network of professional contacts and referrers, or ability to develop one.
• Strong commercial awareness and profitability understanding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• STEP membership or equivalent specialist accreditation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the Private Client team.
• Advise on complex matters, including wills, probate, trusts, tax and succession planning, and Powers of Attorney.
• Build relationships with HNW clients, professional referrers and introducers.
• Drive business development and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop cross-referrals across the Firm.
• Oversee the department's commercial and financial performance.
• Ensure high standards of client care, supervision and compliance.
• Contribute to the Firm's wider strategic development as a Partner.
