Job Title: Private Client - Partner or Senior Associate

Salary: Negotiable within the £120,000 – £150,000 range

Location: London

PQE: 8+ years

Background: A dynamic, modern law firm with a strong presence in regional affluence areas has launched an ambitious project to develop its London Private Client and Family Law offerings. The firm aims to build a technically excellent, service-led team with a fresh approach to high net worth and international private wealth.

The Role: An ideal opportunity for an ambitious Senior Associate to advance to a Partner position or for a current Partner seeking a platform with greater flexibility, innovation, and growth potential. Responsibilities include developing the firm’s private client services in London and internationally, advising on:

  • Drafting and advising on wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
  • Handling complex estate administration and probate, including intestacies and foreign domicile matters
  • Providing succession and tax planning advice, including lifetime gifting, asset protection, and post-death variations
  • Advising international clients on UK property structuring, domicile and residency, and cross-border estate planning
  • Collaborating with family offices, financial advisers, and tax specialists
  • Leading business development and strategic growth of the department

About You:

  • A qualified solicitor (8+ PQE) with strong private client experience
  • Technically proficient in handling high-value, complex estates, often with international elements
  • STEP qualified or working towards it
  • Commercially minded with excellent client relationship skills
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, eager to build a new practice
  • Confident communicator and leader, capable of mentoring juniors and representing the department
