Private Client Paralegal | Somerset | Elderly Client Focus | Legal 500 Firm | Growth Opportunity
If you’re a motivated paralegal with a genuine interest in supporting elderly or vulnerable clients, read on.
This well-regarded regional firm has been growing steadily over the past few years, with a major merger in 2022, the opening of a new office in Devonat the start of 2024, and a series of senior promotions and strategic lateral hires. Their Private Client Department is a core part of the business, with a growing Later Life Team that’s known for delivering sensitive, tailored advice. The firmwere named Law Firm of the Year (Turnover £3M+) in 2023. There’s a real feel-good energy across the offices, and employees consistently report a supportive, down-to-earth culture where people enjoy turning up to work.
The Crewkerne office is looking to add a paralegal to supportan experienced Private Client team on a varied and meaningful caseload. The focus will be on elderly and vulnerable client work; Wills, Powers of Attorney, probate administration, and general support around complex later-life matters. There’s plenty of client interaction, and you’ll be encouraged to build relationships and contribute to the wider success of the team, not just sit behind a desk.
The role is hands-on: you’ll be producing your own documents, using case management software, and managing your own time and admin. There’s support from experienced lawyers across the wider Private Client Department, but this is also a great chance to take ownership of your work and develop quickly.
This is an office-based role, so you’ll need to be happy being part of a local team day-to-day. A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the need for occasional home or hospital visits, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
