Private Client Legal Assistant – Totnes. Salary: £25-26,000.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the busy and friendly Private Client team at one of the South West's most respected Legal 500-ranked practices with a strong and growing reputation across the region. Due to continued growth, the firm are seeking a Legal Assistant to support their experienced Private Client team in Totnes. This is a great role for someone with legal or administrative experience who wants to build a long-term career in a respected firm known for its supportive culture and career progression.

Responsibilities
  • Support experienced Solicitors handling a broad range of matters, including wills, probate, and estate planning.
  • Maintaining accurate client and matter records
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients in coordination with fee earners
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents
  • Supporting the smooth running of the department through high-quality administrative assistance
About You
  • Experience working in a busy administrative or legal environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (or similar)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • High attention to detail and good numeracy
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Familiarity with case management systems is an advantage (training provided)
