Job summary

Capio Recruitment is seeking a Director-level private client lawyer in Leeds to join a Tier 2 Legal 500 practice. You will run your own private client caseload and supervise more junior colleagues, alongside the Partners to grow the department.

You will advise on Wills, trusts, inheritance tax planning, international estate planning, and succession for owner-managed businesses, while developing business through networking.

Qualifications

• 6+ PQE handling private client work, including high-value and technically complex matters.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently.
• Ability to support and develop junior colleagues.
• Interest in networking and business development events.

Responsibilities

• Run your own caseload while supervising junior staff across private client matters.
• Prepare tailored Wills and trusts, including inheritance tax planning and asset protection.
• Advise on international estate planning, including cross-border Wills.
• Advise on succession planning for family and owner-managed businesses.
• Establish and administer Trusts and advise Trustees.
• Collaborate across departments and liaise with tax advisers and wealth managers.
• Oversee estates including high-value cases and assets held abroad.
• Contribute to business development and networking.
