Job summary

BCL Legal is assisting a Tier 1-ranked UK firm in London to recruit a Private Client Associate with 3–4 PQE. You will handle advisory private client matters, focusing on probate administration and end-to-end estate handling for UHNW clients.

Qualifications

The firm / team:

• Successful candidates can look forward to joining a storied English law firm, specialising in Private Client law, looking to strengthen their Private Client offering with the addition of a talented Associate.
• They are considered to be amongst the leading firms in the UK for Private Client law, ranked in the Legal 500 (Tier 1) for their Private Client law offering throughout the UK.
• You will be joining a large and specialised team, working across various jurisdictions including the UK, US, middle, and far east, covering work for exclusively high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, based in both the UK and abroad.

The role:

• As a Private Client Associate within the team, you can expect to undertake a broad range of work with a supportive collegiate department.
• The firm are looking for someone capable of developing into a trusted advisor to their biggest clients.
• The work involved will include advising on advisory private client matters, with a particular focus on probate administration, handling the administration of estates from beginning to end and have experience in dealing with intestacies, Inheritance Tax paying estates, cross-border succession and deeds of variation.
• You will be servicing a client base that consists exclusively of clients possessing overseas businesses, owning luxury assets, as well as landed estates.

About you:

• Applications are sought from talented Associates with at least three years' post qualification experience, gained in England & Wales or a similar, leading common law jurisdiction.
• You will possess strong academics, and a confident understanding of employment law, ideally from a Top 50/Legal 500 background.
• Candidates should have strong organisation skills and a keen interest in joining one of the world's largest law firms.
