Private Client Assistant Manager
Bolton
£40,000 - £55,000 (Hybrid working & strong benefits package)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and modern independent firm in the Bolton area as a Private Client Assistant Manager focusing on compliance within their respected Private Client Tax Services team.

This firm is known for its strong East Lancashire roots, long-standing client relationships, and a loyal, diverse tax team.

With recent investment backing and a leadership team committed to growth, this is a brilliant opportunity to progress your private client career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

As a Private Client Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of private tax clients, including HNWIs, entrepreneurs, and family business owners.
  • Handle personal tax compliance, including self-assessment tax returns, trust returns, and basic advisory elements (as applicable).
  • Work closely with managers and directors on client delivery, and take increasing ownership of client communications.
  • Contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing culture and participate in client meetings where appropriated.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • ATT / CTA / ACA qualified (or near-qualified), with demonstrable experience in UK private client tax.
  • Confidence in preparing and/or reviewing personal tax returns, including exposure to trusts or estates.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude and eagerness to grow your tax career within a supportive firm.
  • Previous experience with OMBs or high-net-worth clients is advantageous.
