The Private Banking Regulatory Compliance Lead is a management role reporting to the Head of RC HBUK & RC WPB Lead. The successful candidate will ensure that Regulatory Compliance in Private Banking HBUK effectively identifies, manages, and mitigates regulatory compliance risks and provides timely advice to the Private Banking business. The role requires strong partnership with the Private Banking business to drive and accelerate the execution of regulatory compliance programs that impact business performance. This role is accountable for implementing policies within the PB business and involves close collaboration with various risk and business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Private Bank Regulatory Compliance team in HBUK.
• Support Private Banking risk stewards to maintain an effective control framework and ensure compliance with external laws, regulations, internal codes, policies, and market practices.
• Provide advisory services to Private Banking to clarify regulatory compliance risk exposures related to clients, transactions, and products.
• Enhance Private Bankers' understanding of regulatory compliance management by integrating compliance considerations into all activities.
• Support Private Banking Compliance Advisory teams in HBUK to align with the Group's management structure, governance, and risk management framework.
• Liaise and influence senior stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and principles are updated in line with regulatory changes and assess their impact on Private Banking.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in Regulatory Compliance providing advice within the UK.
• Ability to engage with and challenge senior stakeholders on compliance issues.
• Proven experience in proactively identifying and managing risks to prevent escalations.
• Ability to articulate the group's approach to risk management, focusing on key areas of compliance.

This role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
