Job Description:

The Private Banking Assistant role supports Private Banking Relationship Managers in daily activities such as account opening, amendments, closures, follow-up on debit cards and internet banking, AML, and credit tasks.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing account opening packs, conducting WorldChecks, risk assessments, adverse media checks, and sending welcome letters to new customers.
  • Managing client relationship transfers between Retail and Private Banking.
  • Ensuring timely ordering, activation, cancellation of debit cards, and handling fraud investigations and refunds.
  • Assisting customers with internet banking registration, activation, access issues, and queries.
  • Preparing and following up on credit information sheets and risk modeling templates.
  • Communicating pertinent information on the status of customer funds periodically or as needed.
  • Maintaining customer confidentiality and adhering to information security policies.
  • Following bank policies such as Private Banking SOP and Financial Crime Policies and Procedures.
  • Performing duties diligently and working closely with relationship managers on ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • University degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Up to 3 years of banking experience.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, bank products, systems, services, and procedures.
  • Understanding of cultural sensitivities, especially Middle Eastern culture and mentality.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic.
