Join us as a Private Banker

  • Join a dynamic team and control the strategic and daily support for client services, business development and relationship building
  • You’ll be building a variety of business cases for projects and using these to estimate project needs and requirements
  • Hone your relationship management skills by managing and maintaining existing client relationships and make sure that excellent client services are being delivered
  • You’ll understand clients’ needs by conducting client reviews and introducing specialists where required
  • You’ll have the opportunity to further develop an extensive range of skills and expertise, while gaining valuable exposure across the bank

What you'll do

You’ll be joining a dynamic client-facing team and supervising and assisting colleagues in managing their portfolios. As a Private Banker, you’ll be managing the overall sector portfolio while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing non-origination activities for a specified complex portfolio of customers
  • Undertaking joint meetings with, and referring business to, both portfolio managers and regulated bankers
  • Overseeing credit stewardship, management of transactions and the end-to-end credit process
  • Performing best in class credit stewardship, transaction execution and customer service
  • Coaching less experienced team members by sharing best practice and providing development and support

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience of the banking industry to bring their investment knowledge, credit skills and stakeholder network to the role. You’ll have experience of analysing complex financial information and the ability to structure appropriate solutions across banking, credit and investments. The individual is required to obtain the appropriate investment qualifications within 18 months of their start date.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • A deep understanding and significant experience in the application of risk management disciplines
  • A client centric approach to your work, and the ability to deliver outstanding service, at all times
  • Extensive customer and sector specialism knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
