Job summary

A leading company in privacy compliance is seeking a Privacy Manager to oversee the implementation of data protection laws and compliance across various regions. This largely remote position will involve supporting stakeholders with privacy advice and incidents, while ensuring continuous compliance activities are maintained. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in privacy regulations and possess excellent communication skills, with proficiency in additional languages an asset.

Qualifications

The Privacy Manager will support the various elements of OSI Systems, Inc.’s (OSI’s) Privacy Program.

This position will be primarily remote and will report to the Corporate Compliance Director, based in the UK. Although the role is largely remote, the Privacy Manager may be required to travel to various offices on a periodic basis for specific meetings, events, and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws, industry standards, policies, and regulations across all divisions.
• Provide prompt and accurate privacy compliance advice to stakeholders globally.
• Act as the first point of contact for privacy-related matters, supporting stakeholders with the resolution of potential privacy incidents.
• Drive ongoing privacy compliance activities, including privacy assessments, policy design, IT Security and Data Flows, and delivering training.
• Support new product privacy compliance assessments.
• Support Data Inventory and Data Minimization Audits.
• Draft, negotiate, and review Data Processing Agreements.
• Monitor industry best practices, rules, regulations, and guidance to maintain compliance and strategic alignment.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of previous privacy experience in a legal or compliance-related role within a global company.
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience, and appropriate privacy-related qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection laws, including the EU GDPR and local laws and regulations within the EMEA region.
• Prior experience in working with multiple stakeholders regionally or globally.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience implementing and monitoring privacy-related policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in additional languages would be an asset (including German, Italian, or Spanish).
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
