Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Director of Software Engineering - Data Privacy Engineering Lead to manage the Data Privacy & Governance roadmap and drive privacy-centric initiatives across the enterprise. You will lead multi-functional projects, oversee regulatory compliance, and report to senior executives on privacy posture and program status.

You will partner with product teams to ensure technical programs meet strategic goals, leveraging experience with modern data platforms and cloud services

Qualifications

• Experience leading Data Governance and Data Privacy organizations.
• Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations to inform architecture.
• Ability to manage multiple portfolios and competing priorities.
• Proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, and vendor relations.
• Knowledge of records retention, legal holds, and defensible disposal.
• Governing enterprise metadata, catalog, and lineage platforms.
• Expertise with data contracts and schema governance.
• Ability to evaluate data platform trade-offs for performance, cost, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Data Privacy & Governance roadmap, aligning with strategic priorities and objectives.
• Lead privacy initiatives including consent management, data retention, and cross-border governance.
• Drive technical direction for Privacy Impact Assessments and third-party integrations.
• Structure roadmap delivery and operating model across the organization.
• Oversee engineering projects, risks, and regulatory compliance milestones.
• Develop privacy metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for executive visibility.
• Prepare reports and presentations for C-Level executives on program status and risk.
• Partner with product teams to align technical programs with business goals.
