Role Overview:

Serves as a Privacy and Responsible Information Management Officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. Designs and delivers a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protects the franchise. Engages with the ICRM product and function coverage teams to develop and apply CRM program solutions that meet business and customer needs within the Citi program framework.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist with the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and practices for ICRM.
  • Review and update privacy and records management policies in line with data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Support PFICRM on privacy and records management issues.
  • Assist with compliance risk assessments.
  • Prepare reports to communicate privacy and records management risks to PFICRM and business lines.
  • Monitor for potential privacy and records management risks and non-compliance issues.
  • Challenge existing controls to ensure compliance with privacy laws.
  • Develop and enhance reporting metrics for compliance oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to Citi’s Compliance Risk Policies through a robust control framework.
  • Analyze data, prepare, and present regional and global compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with other areas within Citi.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and internal policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What we'll need from you:

  • Several years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in compliance risks and typologies.
  • Good understanding of data privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, GLBA.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing privacy risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, team player, organized.
  • Strong communication skills for articulating complex issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across regions and influence across cultures.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal, or control functions in financial services or related fields; an advanced degree is preferred.
