Location: Cambridge Crown Court

Working as a Prisoner Custody Officer (PCO) in Prisoner Escort Custody Services (PECS) offers a rewarding career where you can make a difference daily. We provide:

We operate 6 days a week, covering various shifts. Flexibility is essential due to the role's nature, with unpredictable finishing times and a rota system that provides advance notice for time off.

About the Role:

You will work as part of a team to ensure the safe escort and custody of detainees, focusing on their physical and mental wellbeing. Responsibilities include accompanying defendants, searching property or individuals, providing food and drinks, and completing necessary paperwork.

Requirements:

No specific previous experience is required; commitment to making a difference is key. Training is provided. A valid driver’s license, good fitness, and strong communication skills are preferred. Interest in criminology or psychology is a plus.
