Ministry of Justice is seeking an instructor to train prisoners in a range of topics, building constructive relationships and promoting decency within workshops. The role involves non-operational duties, no line management, and responsibilities around safety, security and learning records.

You will support learning pathways, conduct risk assessments and contribute to sentence planning while ensuring alignment with Safer Custody guidelines and local policies.

Aufgaben

• Deliver BICS training to prisoners to cover establishment needs and aspirations toward industry accreditations.
• Participate in selecting prisoners for workshops and learning needs assessments.
• Induct prisoners to workshops and train in Health and Safety, COSHH, machinery and tools usage.
• Provide individualized learning support and maintain learner records.
• Assess prisoners' skills including NVQ levels 1 and 2 and other relevant qualifications.
• Undertake registration, supervision, monitoring, assessment and accreditation of learners.
• Maintain quality standards and contribute to external verification as required.
• Set learning aims and review prisoner progress; advise on career opportunities upon resettlement.
