Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Stores Person for HMP Wymott in Leyland, Preston, Lancashire. The role is permanent with a 39-hour week, 07:00–16:00 (finish 15:00 on Fridays). Salary is £27,426 per year, with DBS clearance required.

The Stores Person will manage stock, deliver items around the prison, and supervise prisoners in the stores. Join a large facilities management provider delivering critical services for prisons across the UK.

Qualifications

• IT skills are required.
• A driving licence is essential.
• Knowledge of manual handling is desirable.
• Experience in a stock/store room environment is preferred.
• Comfortable working alongside prisoners is required.

Responsibilities

• Control of stock within the stores.
• Deliver items in a timely manner to prisoners and staff.
• Supervise prisoners working in the stores.
• Collect items locally as needed.
