Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Chelmsford. You will assess, treat and support prisoners with various mental health needs in a secure setting, contributing to high-quality care and safety.

In this role you will manage your own caseload, participate in ACCT reviews, and work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care across units. A rewarding opportunity for experienced RMNs seeking challenging, impactful work.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active PIN.
• All candidates are subject to prison vetting checks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi professional team within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mental health support to prisoners in a secure setting, including responding to emergencies.
• Carry a caseload and conduct assessment and treatment planning for prisoners.
• Be part of ACCT reviews and contribute to case management and discharge planning.
• Provide supervision/mentoring to staff where appropriate and support induction for new starters.
