Job Title: Prison Recovery Co-ordinator

Salary: £20/hour

Hours; 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 9:00am-5:00pm

Location; Stockton on Tees

I’m currently recruiting for a temporary Prison Recovery Coordinator position based in Stockton-on-Tees, with an immediate start available. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in substance misuse or recovery support within a custodial setting.

About the Role:

As a Prison Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering harm reduction advice, and demonstrating a strong understanding of substance misuse and related issues. You will also be expected to facilitate group sessions and deliver one-to-one interventions, ensuring that all support is tailored to meet local needs within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

·Carry out initial and ongoing assessments of clients needs, risks and goals related to substance use.

·Provide 1-1 support such as motivational interviewing, CBT techniques and brief interventions

·Deliver and support harm reduction advice including overdose prevention, needle exchange and completing DBST.

·Liaise with other health professionals

·Maintain accurate and confidential records using case management systems

·Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of clients interactions, assessments and progress on case management systems.

Required:

·Previous experience working within a drug and alcohol service

·Prison clearance or are willing to complete prison clearance.

·Experience in completing assessments and providing harm reduction advice

·Right to work in the UK

·Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
