Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our integrated primary care mental health team at HMP Durham. The role delivers high-volume, low-intensity CBT interventions for clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, in line with Step 2 IAPT guidelines.

You will work in collaboration with TEWV and Humber Teaching NHS to provide an integrated stepped care service within the prison.

Qualifications

• Qualified as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and accredited (BPS or BABCP).
• Experience delivering low-intensity CBT interventions in stepped-care settings.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct person-centred assessments and manage referrals.
• Deliver guided self-help in 1:1 and group settings per Step 2 IAPT.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and attend meetings.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues while upholding values.
