Job summary

Practice Plus Group Holdings Limited is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy team at HMP Lancaster Farms in Lancashire. The role involves dispensary duties, stock management, and delivering pharmaceutical services within a busy prison environment.

You will support the Pharmaceutical team, handle prescriptions for prison wings, and participate in dispensing. The position offers opportunities for development and a full-time salary up to £26,598 per annum.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent.
Medicines handling experience desirable.
Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
Excellent communication skills.
Good IT skills and IT literacy.
Ability to work within a busy environment.
Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

Complete general dispensary duties and stock management.
Be an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service.
Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings.
Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas.
Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return.
Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.
