Job summary

HMP Drake Hall is seeking an Operational Support Grade to manage day-to-day prison support tasks. You will work in a close-knit team performing patrols, gate duties, deliveries and visitor supervision, with night and weekend shifts on a rolling pattern.

You will handle phone calls, CCTV monitoring, property processing, and prisoner supervision, ensuring security and smooth operations while adhering to national policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or monitoring roles is desirable.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work unsocial hours, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and gate duties to secure entry and exit of staff and visitors.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity.
• Book visits and process visitors on arrival.
• Support reception tasks and handle prisoner property.
• Supervise prisoners and assist with movement.
• Transport prisoners when required.
• Monitor PIN system and maintain audit trails.
