Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old at start of employment
• Meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements
• Pass a medical and fitness assessment
• Meet the required eyesight standard in both eyes
• For safety, meet a suitable standard of hearing
• Tattoos allowed but must not be offensive or intimidating
• To work in a high security prison you must have UK residence for the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• This is a merit vacancy; you will be assessed during online processes and placed on a merit list based on your score.
• If successful, you may be offered a prison officer role or an alternative Operational Support Grade position based on availability.
