Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd. is recruiting a Painting & Decorating Tutor to join the on-site vocational education team at HMP Feltham in London.

You will deliver practical training and qualifications in painting and decorating to small groups of prison-based learners, developing their craft, surface preparation, and workplace discipline to support their future employment prospects. The role requires Level 2 vocational credentials in painting & decorating or related trade, substantial hands-on

Qualifications

• Level 2 vocational qualification in Painting & Decorating or related construction trade.
• Substantial hands-on industry experience as painter/decorator/finishing specialist.
• Teaching or assessing qualification desirable; funding provided to achieve qualifications during probation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Painting & Decorating training modules.
• Create and monitor Individual Training Plans for each learner.
• Maintain health & safety, surface hygiene, tool control and workshop standards.
• Assess learner work and track progress per awarding body guidelines.
• Support rehabilitation goals and employability opportunities for learners.
