Job summary

Milton Keynes College is seeking a passionate Lecturer who will deliver City & Guilds English qualifications at HMP Bullingdon, including outreach activities. You will support learners to develop skills and qualifications to progress into employment and reduce re-offending, while mentoring peers and contributing to other Curriculum areas as needed.

The role is based on site at HMP Bullingdon, with full-time hours of 37.5 per week.

Qualifications

• Experienced teacher with ability to deliver City & Guilds English qualifications and outreach.
• Mentoring peers and supporting learners to progress into employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver City & Guilds English qualifications (including Outreach) and Peer Mentoring.
• Provide cover for Functional Skills English and Maths and other subjects as required.
• Engage and motivate learners with strong classroom management and a solutions-focused approach.
• Support other curriculum areas as needed and contribute to widening participation.
