Job summary

Milton Keynes College is seeking a passionate Lecturer to deliver City & Guilds English qualifications at HMP Bullingdon. Based on-site, you will inspire learners, provide peer mentoring, and support other curriculum areas as required, including Functional Skills English and Maths.

You will engage and motivate learners, demonstrate strong classroom management, and contribute to reducing re-offending by helping learners gain employable skills and qualifications.

Job description

Based on site at HMP Bullingdon, full time hours are Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 with a lunchtime finish every Friday.

Contractual hours: 37.5 Package: 38 days leave plus bank holidays, Generous pension, Development opportunities, Sector discounts, The primary focus of this role is delivering City & Guilds English qualifications (including Outreach) and Peer Mentoring, alongside supporting other curriculum areas as required; Such as providing cover for Functional Skills English and Maths and other subjects, depending on your skills and experience. Full support will be provided for subjects you may be less familiar with, making this an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator looking to broaden their experience. We're looking for someone who can engage and motivate learners, demonstrate excellent classroom management, and bring a positive, solutions-focused approach to education.
