Job summary

Change Grow Live in Kent recruits a Team Leader for HMP Swaleside and HMP Standford Hill. The role is prison-based with 37.5 hours per week and permanent contract. You will manage a team, ensure safeguarding, support service users, and drive high standards of care within the prison setting.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent experience and prior CJ sector experience. The post requires full prison vetting; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience of working within a prison/criminal justice setting.
• Sensitivity in working with complex and diverse cultural issues.
• Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational line management of a team with supervision, appraisal and performance management.
• Empower staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control and opportunities for service users.
• Ensure safeguarding and risk identification with staff competency in delivering interventions.
• Support staff to improve outcomes through observed practice and timely feedback.
