Avery Dennison in Harrogate is seeking a Print Department Operative to manage on-site production printing machinery and ensure high-quality transfers and labels. The role is full-time with a 36-hour week on a Wednesday to Friday 3x12 shift pattern.

You will set up Sakurai and INO printers, perform routine quality checks, log production data, and support maintenance. The team values attention to detail, safety, and collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced production environment.
• Experience using Sakurai/INO print machines is a big plus.
• High attention to detail with ability to follow technical guides and instructions.
• Strong team spirit with willingness to collaborate and adapt to flexible shift cycles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production printing equipment according to technical specifications and safety rules.
• The operative safely handles printing machinery—Sakurai & INO machines, setups, and administrative support tasks to deliver high-quality transfers and labels while ensuring operational compliance with SOPs.
• Conduct regular quality checks to verify correct formatting, text alignment, and design accuracy.
• Maintain an organized work area, executing standard operating procedures to keep a high level of efficiency.
• Troubleshoot simple machinery or equipment issues and escalates advanced maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with recording production data, logging material utilization, and organizing product batches for dispatch.
