Job summary

The Sherwood Group in Nottingham is seeking a Printer's Assistant to join our growing print and packaging operation. You will support the lithographic printing process and help cover in other areas of the factory as needed, contributing to quality and productivity.

We value a practical, team-oriented mindset, awareness of safety standards, and a willingness to work a rotating 3‑shift pattern. A competitive salary, pension, and 26 days annual leave are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with lithographic printing machines.
• Awareness of Health & Safety, BRC and quality procedures.
• Willingness to cover in other factory areas and work a 3-shift pattern.
• Customer-focused mindset and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the lithographic printing process and operators.
• Assist across other factory areas as needed to maintain flow.
• Contribute to maintaining quality and machine productivity.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and quality procedures.

An opportunity has arisen for self-motivated Individual to join our team as a Printer's Assistant.The successful applicant will require the following:

• Good knowledge and hands on experience of the lithographic printing machines.
• A "can do" attitude.
• Operating B1 Komori presses would be an advantage, but not essential
• The printers assistant would be flexible to cover in others areas of the factory
• Commercial awareness of the cost of quality and machine productivity.
• Working a triple shift system
• Awareness of Health & Safety, BRC & Quality procedures.
• You want to work in a company that puts the customer at the centre of what they do.
• You are a people person and can work within a close team.
