Job summary

The Best Connection is looking for an experienced Printer Operator to join our Preston-based team. You will manage setup, operation and monitoring of printing equipment to ensure quality, safety and timely production.

This full-time role offers training, development and a clear path to permanent employment through a temp-to-perm arrangement. Working hours rotate across two-week blocks with early start days and afternoon/evening shifts, and a supportive team environment that values accuracy and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a printing environment.
• Experience setting and operating production machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating printing machinery.
• Monitoring production runs and ensuring quality.
• Carrying out machine adjustments and basic fault-finding.
• Completing production paperwork and recording quality checks.
• Ensuring output targets are achieved while maintaining accuracy.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Working closely with colleagues to support smooth production operations.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
